Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

A quick check with Capt. Sims revealed exactly what we want to hear - all's well, perfect bait, and beautiful traveling conditions. In fact, things are proceeding so well that our conversation, rather than focusing on some mechanical or administrative issue, centered around the barbecue he and the boys enjoyed last night; good living at present. The boat is on schedule for an early afternoon arrival tomorrow.

Photos today continue the release trend with anglers Doug Taylor and Dave Bookin doing the honors. The shot featuring Dave Bookin was taken by "Mighty Mite" Liz Franzino and shared with Royal Star along with several other excellent images. Doug Taylor was caught in the act as one of his many one hundred pound class tuna went back over the side. Again I direct everyone viewing to the face of each individual as they liberate the vanquished. That is a brand of accomplishment, of unique satisfaction, impossible to replicate.

I was commenting yesterday on the fierce beauty of such tempests, and I stand by the notion proffered; but while it does elicit awe and respect, it also gets old in a hurry. No matter...... Read More
