I could make this report really short and just tell you that the prize for the first 200# fish is still up for grabs but what fun would that be? And speaking of fun, how about today's Wahoo fishing! We have remained on anchor since yesterday afternoon so all of the skinnies came on the kite, bait or iron. For the day we had 25 of them and some are real beauties. I don't know whether there were more of them that wanted to bite today, or more likely, the tuna fishing in the day is so slow that almost every one was using their lighter outfits and wire when fishing bait. What ever the reason, we were glad to have them providing some action as well as more of those amazing leaps to gawk at. Pablo put on a clinic on how to catch a Wahoo and was personally responsible for 5 or them. Now for the tuna fishing which in spite of the lack of the size we came for continues to at least improve. A couple of 135 pounders came on board after dinner last night around 9:30 or so. Gary Lacroix and David Chaote were the luck anglers using a Caballitto and a puffer respectively. The rest of the night time and very early morning fishermen caught only a lack sleep. This morning and all afternoon were dismal for tuna but there was a little flurry near sunset. Stas caught a 135 pounder on a sardine and there were just a few other smaller ones landed. Big fish of the day caught on the kite was a 150 personal best snagged by Fred Reich. There was a total of five caught for the day and morning effort. Frank has spurred us on for another long night of trying if not catching, as for now it seems our best chance is when the lights are off. Let's hope is works out, come back tomorrow and find out.

Al wants Mary Ellen to know that he caught a Wahoo today. He also caught a big shark, but I don't think he's as proud of that!
