Royal Star Fish Report

10-25-2012
Royal Star

We had to work for it today, and by we I mean everyone on board. Our weather
ranged from 10 knots and nice to 20 knots and not so nice, but we managed to
ride it out on the anchor to lessen the effects. As far as the fishing we
scratched together a reasonable number of nice sized dorado including a 60#
stand out caught by Royal Star regular Todd Steckel. We only managed a few tuna
today, but they were worth the work. The smallest was 89.8# and the largest
weighed in at 267.Cows today were taken by: Rhanny Hufalar 217.4, Robert Wax
267.0, Todd Steckel 240.0, Gary Lusk 234.4 and Jim Marshall 228.8. We will be
here for another day.

With the big fish showing up down here if you don't have a trip booked for this
fall yet, "Now would be the time". There is space on an eleven day before
Thanksgiving for sure and may be a few other openings. Check with Tracy this
week in the office.

Robert Wax with the help of a back-up rig subdued todays largest Yellowfin Tuna.
So he gets the shot.

What fantastic news that supports our previous theories as to how this season will play out. It appears that Nov - Jan will indeed offer tangible prospects for real deal giant yellowfin tuna fishing down below while all the bonus, variety zones coming and going suggest abundant supplemental opportunities...... We spent the day looking offshore in slightly windy conditions. We had good action on "chin slapper" dorado, which put on great aerial shows both in the water and a few times on the deck. A good time was had by all. John Faherty shows off a quality dorado in today's shot. Brian Photo Here......... Read More
