When your hot your hot; and right now we are obviously living right; it is our time; this boat is as
"fishy" as they come. Of course it helps to have good fish around, and consistently be in the right place
thanks to more than a little intuition and a lot of extremely helpful shared information.

We are not a one man band out here, far from it in fact, and the consistent catches we make are
attributed in no small part to the collective effort of a couple of handfuls of very sharp, highly
proficient professionals. Not to take anything away from the individuals however: the picture is formed
through the collective; the fishing, the catching, is done individually.

Beginning the day anew we steamed up through some new country seeking a feel for what else is to come. As
I have shared on several occasions this season there is plenty more good fishing on the way in the form
of exotics. I still maintain that perspective though much of it has already arrived, on schedule, in the
local grounds. The good news is that even more is on the way, much more.

Beyond our morning tour we reached the working area of choice and set to looking for another shot at the
quality offshore tuna. It took awhile but in the end that did not matter. By day's end, following another
entire afternoon/evening of drifting along in good conditions with one to five quality yellowfin and
bluefin hanging on the end of our lines, we were done, finished. We had reached one of those coveted
junctures when the floating measure of enough was clearly defined. Putting any more tuna in the packed
RSW tanks beyond this mark would show inexcusable disrespect; that is definitely not our style.

I have to admit though that the thought of driving away from such incredible potential in ideal working
conditions is still somewhat painful. We have been waiting a long, long time to see fishing like this
again in this zone. To miss even one day of it elicits pangs of regret - in any true fisherman. But no
regrets about the results in the hatch. It is a rare voyage that yields four days straight of superb
fishing.

yellowfin. Our final fishing day will feature the pursuit of variety in a zero stress setting. Perfect
weather, a load of beautifully dressed, premium yellowfin, bluefin, yellowtail, and dorado in the hatch,
and a final morning to simply enjoy the ocean and wet a line or two. Fishing paradise at present; yes,
paradise.
