Fish Report for 7-31-2012
07/30/12
We started out with a good morning bite then scratched steady throughout the day
for 90bft and all the yft we wanted. The bulk of the bft were 20-35lbs while the
yft were 12-18lbs with a few standouts over 30.
We are going to take advantage of this beautiful weather and spend another day
here in the offshore grounds hoping for a good shot at the bft tomorrow.
Ann Van Dyke is in today's shot with a 30lb class bft. The second picture is of
novice long ranger Joe Terre.

With the weather glassing off we're going to spend the night and hope they float tomorrow. Royal Star regulars Greg Fox and Andy Cooperman are in today's shot with a yft and bft respectively. 7/27/12 Between the luxury of time and a booming catch of "primo" RSW Bluefin, yellowfin, yellowtail, and dorado safe in the tanks we opted for the inside route up the line avoiding an unnecessary thumping in blustery conditions and sloppy seas. To the delight of everyone we succeeded enjoying a day of calm, northwest travel but for a few small "potato patches" curtly navigated. So passes one of our long time favorite annual voyages that again hit upon the coveted big three...... Read More
