Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

Today we spent the day fishing for coastal species and checked out the rugged
shorelines. The weather was good and the bass made a couple of very good
showings in a couple of different areas. Swimbaits, surface iron and live bait
were all getting bit well. The quality of calico was outstanding with most from
two to five pounds and a few bigger all the way up to an honest eight pounds.

I'm sending two pictures today. First is Tony Garza of Soft Steel monofilament,
with a five pounder taken on the surface iron. Second is Phenix Rods pro-staffer
Ben Ouano with his new personal best calico, an eight pounder.

The yellowfin we found were 18 - 42# fish with a...... Read More

The action was steady, giving the crew just enough time to give a little one on one instruction, ensuring everyone got in on the action. Today Alex Nekoranec gets the photo honors with a 22# yo-yo caught yellow. Brian Photo Here... ...... Read More
