Fish Report for 6-4-2012
06/03/12
An epic day in beautiful flat calm weather to start our annual Baja Fish Gear trip.
Within minutes of getting to the zone we got on a spot of 50-75lbers that responded and bit steady for three hours. When the dust settled we had 59 aboard; talk about going from zero to sixty in 5 seconds. We haven't seen this caliber of fishing on this grade bft in quite awhile so if your on the fence I would get on a trip.
We got on another school this afternoon that plunked until dark producing another 41 bft and 3 ALBACORE which were nice 25lbers, the first of the year.
We are spending the night here on cloud nine looking forward to what we hope is another great day tomorrow.
Our first shot shows John Stuemke with a 70lb class bft,(you fireboys are missing out). Robin Lemaster is in the second with the first albacore of 2012.

What I remember the most about Ernie Adams was his tremendous generosity of thought for others, for us on Royal Star. Though I am certain we were far from the center of his life Ernie would regularly call to catch up and almost always had something he wanted to share; something he thought might be able to help us in the...... 6/1/12 As projected the Bluefin zone today expanded into something completely different - the real deal; different size classes of fish and a staggering abundance that so often manifests in the face of classic Bluefin conditions. Full moon soon coming combined with an approaching stretch of flat calm means only one thing - float time; the bottom comes up and what were various scattered spots only a few days prior become something much, much more. The guys on the grounds today...... Read More
