We started out the day right hooking three big cows, one of which gained its freedom while the other two weighed in at 264 and 243. Unfortunately the rest of the day didn't go as well but we did scratch another handfull of 120-160lbers. The sign is still here and the weather continues to hold so we have no intentions of going anywhere. Larry Ward poses with his 264 in today's shot, the fish to beat so far.

We got our annual Braid 15-day off to a decent start today in beautiful flat calm weather. The overall sign of tuna down here was as impressive as the last few trips but they sure made us work at it to get a bite. Our tally was 17 fish from 70-170lbs which by normal standards is a fine day. With plenty of time and more beautiful weather in the forecast, I'm confident we'll get our shots. We were bestowed the final gift of surprise calm conditions contrary to forecasted 15 - 20 knots of northwest breeze and 4 - 6 foot seas. Though nothing in the sea state to consider other than the loss of ease and comfort in such conditions, the unwelcome coming change was not anticipated as a positive in any form.
