Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

We stopped on the coast this morning for a few hours of bass fishing to break up the ride home and get ourselves a fresh fish lunch. The conditions were beautiful, good temperature, good current, and good clarity. The only thing we were missing were biting fish. We worked at it for about two hours and had enough to feed ourselves. Seeing the writing on the wall, we called it a trip and are currently headed home in flat calm weather.

Pictures today we are going back a few days. First Don Franks, Bill Leitelt and Andy Pulido pulling on tuna. Second Bill Leitelt with his catch.

I would like to take the time to thank our chartermasters Ed Tschernoscha of Baja Fish Gear and Larry Brown for all of the hard work they put into this trip. The following is a list of the sponsors who donated prizes for the two day raffle.

We made a series of long drifts with fish steadily coming aboard. At dark we continued our progress to the north and will get a couple of hours of fishing in tomorrow. Sorry, no pictures today. I will make up for it tomorrow. Brian...... Read More

We enjoyed another very good day of yellowfin fishing. We stayed on the anchor all day with one to five going. The bigger grade of tuna got on us early and stuck around until late in the afternoon. The Wahoo made a better showing today as well and we managed to put a cool dozen on board. Our weather is exceptionally nice. We are currently headed up and will be looking for yellowtail tomorrow afternoon. Two pictures today. First is...... Read More
