Fish Report for 9-14-2010
Just about everything transpired according to plan, though a few more sea bass in the mix would have sweetened the pie. Not that our results were worthy of complaint however. We slayed 'em. Both premium, 25 - 38# yellowtail, and school size 15 - 22# fish were prolific and cooperative satisfying everyone's fishing drive with an epic surface show and aggressive appetite. It was a great morning of fishing. So great in fact that we headed out just before lunch taking a long shot jump in search of trophy class fish. For the position we are in, with a tremendous load of beautiful fish in the RSW tank already, an open shot beckoning from below, and a veteran group of anglers ecstatic about the opportunity, it is the only move to consider.
The afternoon passed in travel mode with all anglers thoroughly enjoying the chance to catch up on their relaxation, enjoy some phenomenal sights, and prepare their tackle for tomorrow's big prize - we hope. Photo's today feature anglers Johnny "Abalone" and Brandon Bubel with a couple of early morning biters they made the most of. Though the quality of the photos is not all that great, the quality of the subjects definitely is. Johnny is featured with the sea bass; Brandon with the "premium" yellowtail. Enjoy the shots and your day.

9-13-2010After a few hours vacillating about which attractive option to pursue, we nailed down our game plan and set it in motion by late afternoon. It was a very good beginning. Good fishing for 18 - 25# yellowtail, good enough weather and conditions, and very good prospects in this region has us feeling confidant by day's end. This ideal opportunity to target yellows and a few exotics is not one to pass up. Remember what I mentioned about smelling...... Read More

Well I haven't mentioned Fisherman's Processing in a while as we took our first three months to create and streamline systems, and devise the most efficient, convenient service for long range anglers. Though we did work through a few bumps and minor hurdles, as was expected, none represented significant set backs for our customers, or our ultimate objective of improving turn times of same day orders. Now in particular, Sean and the processing crew back at the facility have their...... Read More
