Fish Report for 5-17-2004
We had several opportunities at big fish again today but were only able to capitalize on two of them. Up until today our luck on landing the cows has been impeccable, so we were due for some losses. Our total was 10 for the day from 110-180 with two at 217.
In stark contrast to the last few years, the wahoo have been virtually nonexistent with only a few mixed in each day.
Today's shot shows Royal Star regular Tim Williams with his first deuce, a beautiful 217 taken on the kite. Tim had a 199.7 on this trip last year and has missed two's on other trips making this fish particularly sweet.

Another great day of cow fishing in beautiful weather here at hurricane today. It wasn't fast and furious at any point, just a nice steady scratch for 19 fish, most of which were 130-195 with four from 201-250. Flyers on the kite have been the hot ticket with the big jigs producing a few fish in the morning and evening. Everybody on board has a fish of at least 150lbs, not a bad stat considering it's only the second day...... Read More
