Things are on the upswing offshore with the weather finally improving. Between reports from the airplane on the offshore grounds yesterday and boats actually on the fish today there is an incredible amount of Bluefin out there to be had. Perfect fishing weather this weekend - 10 knots or less offshore sets the stage for a ideal opportunity to target the bluefin that will more likely than not be up on the surface visible and ready. The plane is scheduled for another flight on Friday so the guys will head out well prepared with information from above and on the water. We still have plenty of space available on this one of two 1 1/2 day voyages that we will offer this 2018 season. The boat departs at 6:00 pm Friday and returns approx 0700 on Sunday. Today’s photos feature images of the Fathometer and sonar fresh off the bridge of one of our colleagues on the grounds. This is only one of many jumbo spots of bluefin they got on today. Give Tracy a call in the office if you can make this weekend’s run. Sounds like the local bluefin are ready to get up and go!

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4764 to get in on the action.

We headed outside for the afternoon following a warm water edge that was holding promising life signs. We saw one good dab of Bluefin in the late afternoon, but they were reluctant to play. We will be working hard to find some biters tomorrow. ...... Read More
