Royal Star Fish Report

6-10-2009
Royal Star

We rolled into an island for today's fishing, the idea being to get some variety and bites for all of our anglers. This plan worked out exquisitely. After breakfast we found a nice ball of 15 - 20# yellowtail. We had good fishing along with a great surface show till lunch time. After lunch we headed in to try our luck on the halibut. They did not disappoint. We landed 6. Five of which were over 20# and the largest came in at 36#. Final tally for the day was 78 yellowtail, 6 big halibut and some other assorted bottom grabbers.

We will be in Thursday morning at 0830 and back out for a 1.5 day leaving Friday night. Look for the reports to continue then.

This afternoon we stopped on a few kelps and caught a few...... Read More
