Well the long dry spell is over with the ocean in Panama finally yielding a little yellowfin tuna action and a tremendous amount of excitement. First of all if you were wondering whether the tuna would respond favorably to the anchoveta wonder no further. They work and they work good. Next on the list is big fish and although yesterday turned out not to be our day in this department, we had a few good shots and we saw plenty. We are hoping that the complete rollover in conditions yesterday and good sign of fish moving in will lead to even better action tomorrow. With the jitters worked out on forty to one hundred pounders today, we are ready now ready to maximize our opportunities tomorrow.

Another fruitless search for us and the fleet convinced us to head inshore at noon to do a little prospecting and give our shore fishermen an opportunity to try their hand. Another day in Panamanian paradise with everything in the picture we desire except the big tuna that at present are simply nowhere to be found. The collective effort of four boats looking have yet to come up with anything significant so what we are all hoping for is some change in conditions following the new moon.
