Good albacore fishing in the local grounds but the same cannot be said for the lower regions as we continue to cover considerable area for poor results. With plenty of effort and a good portion of favorable luck, conditions will turn for the better and we will get the ball rolling in the right direction. At the very least we are enjoying good weather, good company, and some fine meals prepared by chef David Kennedy while the search continues.

We began our first seven day of the 2004 summer season brimming with enthusiasm and adventurous spirit on a prospecting mission to find a new area of albacore offshore for the long range fleet. What a remarkable difference in weather today that set the stage for a very pleasant day of offshore fishing that once again was not to be the greatest catch of all time but provided plenty of action on 12 - 20# albacore and 5 - 10# kelp paddy yellowtail.
