Fish Report for 1-22-2013
1/21/13
By travel standards an exceptional day on the high seas. No muss, no fuss steady progress was made toward our
simultaneous goals of preparing equipment and reducing the distance between us and our primary destination. By far
superb weather, perfect traveling conditions remain the highlight. It makes everything, every moment so comfortable
and easy. All the references I have made to her charm in this state remain true; it's an attraction one can not
repel; intoxicating in it's allure.
And recognizing the value of such moods we do nothing to upset the equilibrium. Go with it: that's a philosophy out
here to carry one far, not that there is a choice. But sometimes simple recognition of the obvious is too obvious.
Time has a way of revealing this in broad contrast. The earned trait of wisdom is not necessarily attached.

Between an abundance of fish, appropriately matched voyages, and a solid generation of well equipped anglers enthusiastic and passionate in their pursuit of giant yellowfin tuna these past few years down below have revealed the somewhat forgotten...... 1/19/13 A reunion is how I would describe it; a reunion of old friends and Royal Star veterans all assembled to pursue their fishing passion on this annual, Braid sponsored 15 day voyage. A better group of individuals, beginning with a core dozen or fifteen who established this trip now six or seven years past, one would be hard pressed to find. This is the apex of long range fishing, the reason why anglers return year after year. The attraction of...... Read More
