Royal Star

12/11/12

No shortage of looking today; both looking for and looking at great volume of yellowfin tuna. Of course this
should suggest a bounty of action and glowing accounts of glory but the near opposite was true. I say near
opposite because we did accomplish some catching; a little here and a little there added up to more than a few
by day's end. But oh the potential, oh what a time it will be if even a small fraction of what teased our
fishing ardor gets around to biting for real.

We'll see tomorrow. We are here, settled in, and committed for the duration. Pending beautiful weather just
may be the trigger to unlock this zone's potential. With as much sign as we see around anything may do it. The
moon change alone may be the key. Or perhaps we will crack the code through some stroke of fishing genius.
When we get it all figured out we'll report accordingly. It's a good thing we have a long life to live.

Never ones to shirk a challenge we are geared for battle with all things still favoring success. Time,...... Read More

12/9/12 No grand events to herald; just another smooth day of running, rigging, and relaxation in preparation for the big event beginning tomorrow. The final toasts were made, the last minute, finishing touches were applied to equipment following the evening reverie, then all retired to the below decks, air conditioned havens to await our morning arrival. Splendid conditions - just enough breeze to keep temperatures pleasant and the ocean tame - promise an agreeable working platform tomorrow and beyond. Leap of...... Read More
