We got the lump of coal today; no doubt about it the hot streak we have been riding for over two months
is seriously threatened. And while the inevitability of this "correction" does little to harm my overall
self esteem I freely admit that my ass is chapped; I enjoy winning far more than losing.

But the voyage is far from over, and a set back or two isn't going to wreck this run; three or four
however and I'll be signing a different tune. In reality though the fish are just down; it wasn't
personal. There was no real conking going on out here today both near and afar, but the fish are still
around guaranteed. Taking the hint we are leaving the offshore scene in favor of something different - a
few days in pursuit of variety; and a change of fortune.

A break from the weather alone will be an improvement. It isn't bad out here by any stretch of the
imagination, but the current against wind has the sea state jacked up in places making for some pitching
conditions. A little flat calm will go a long way toward establishing bona fide comfort. Throw in some
good fishing, and catching, and we'll have nothing to pine on. To this idea we are committed - always.

Thousands of birds quickly joined the fray to create and image of complete chaos - a genuine maelstrom of white water, wings, and tails...... Read More
