The quality of a catch, as the fruit of our labors, particularly resonates on the back end of a voyage
when the product is removed from the RSW tanks in premium condition. With all the tuna in excess of
around 25# dressed (gilled and gutted) the difference is noticeable not only in the firmness and overall
integrity of the individual fish. The end product of fillets and/or loins is superb beyond description;
nothing of the sort is even remotely available in local markets.
And by removing the innards, that account for roughly 10% of the overall weight, the pocket book of those
electing to have their catch professionally butchered and packaged is saved a considerable sum. While
this is probably not a significant, or perhaps even recognized, component of the equation, it is a
collateral benefit we are happy Royal Star anglers receive.
Now on to the next voyage that is restoring the Royal Star/Izorline summer tradition. Originally a five
day, this year and beyond an Izorline six day will grace the schedule mid August. Between the incredibly
generous giveaways Izorline provides and the quality company that always seems to come with Izorline
sponsored voyages we are very pleased to offer this run again as part of our regular schedule. Now it is
time to get back to fishing.

8-10-20128/9/12 A real treat today that completely erased yesterday's notion of bumbling and fumbling around the ocean with little clue as to what, where, and why. Taking a page from the fisherman's handbook we left yesterday's area of doubt far behind with zero sense of indecision. It felt good at the time, and even better after all was said and done. Again reminiscent of the "good old days" we fished our way into a productive zone that resulted in ninety five of...... Read More

8/8/12 A definitive fall from grace today as our three day roll collapsed into an all day spoonathon. Though I don't really have to be too critical of our results, the day in general went in the toilet for everyone but for a couple of fortunate hits, it still chapped to so successfully navigate around what little the zone had to offer. We had some fish, forty five "mixed" to be exact so the day wasn't anywhere near a bust, but...... Read More
