We got an early start today after a smooth unloading and headed down towards the local Bluefin zone. In the late afternoon we saw a few spots and managed a few bites out of one school. We were stoked to pick up a few this afternoon from 20 - 36#. We are currently headed in to the coast to try for the elusive white sea bass and will be back offshore in the morning.

The front end of our two pronged approach served us well as we began the day successfully targeting "cactus" with plenty of variety. Prickly Pear, Cholla, Saguaro - the whole contingent provided a wealth of phenomenal table fare in addition to lively discourse and full participation on deck. Although they were reluctant to give up the goods we enjoyed a fine day of fishing overall. Bathed in sunshine, zero wind, and flat calm conditions the majority of the day classic long range scenery featuring the rugged Baja coastline augmented the fishing effort that cycled through peaks and valleys from early morning to sundown.
