We departed yesterday on our annual Mako 6-day and opted to start the trip in the offshore grounds to get things started. Very good sign of school size yellowfin this morning which produced good action until we called it quits.

We spent the remainder of the day looking for bluefin to no avail while sliding South towards Guadalupe where we hope to spend the next three days targeting trophies.

We finished up on the offshore grounds witnessing a significant weather change that arrived with a freshening morning breeze. By mid afternoon conditions were sloppy and a far cry from the glorious flat calm of the prior two days. We got off to a dubious start today after our prospecting move went south and we found ourselves in no man's land fishless and way out of position. Such are the risks inherent in prospecting. Hero or zero. Zero was the appropriate title to go along with our catching results this morning.
