Fish Report for 5-26-2009
I have returned and as such the daily reports will get back on track until the boat begins the regular schedule at the end of the week. I still have a wealth of photos to share so enjoy what follows. In the meantime a couple of reminders I wanted to pass along are the 1 1/2 day voyages that we added in June as well as our summer schedule that still offers availability on select adventures. The annual time of transition is upon us so the next few weeks should be very revealing about what is coming our way. I will certainly keep everyone posted. Meanwhile enjoy the photos of IATTC Senior Scientist Kurt Schaefer and his 329 as well as angler Phil Bruce in action. Of note in the photos of Kurt is the Shimano Talus rod and Tiagra 50 performing to standards that can only be described as extreme. As I reported several times now, these rigs are incredible enough to impress the entire Royal Star crew and I. Pure "Beef".

One of the most innovative anglers we have the pleasure of fishing with is Stuart Exall. Stuart brings tackle and techniques from around the globe to try out on the tagging trips. Some are exciting and effective like the western pacific "stick baits". Others, like the Indonesian trolling kite, are still are still in the testing phase. No matter what Stuart is working on at the rail he is a genuine pleasure to fish with. Photo Here... Photo Here... Photo Here......... Read More
