Royal Star Fish Report

2-27-2008
Royal Star

The final report from this voyage is to once again thank everyone involved in this project. Were it not for much vision by many different individuals and progressive ideas, projects such as these would never come to fruition. Although our daily posts from sea will desist as we now enter our annual five week maintenance period, I will continue to send photos from the trip daily as we have a tremendous portfolio to share. Thanks in advance to all anglers, Kurt Schaefer, and Dan Fuller for sharing the photos you took the time to shoot. As we all know these fish were all released so documenting the event with photographs is a significant focus. Enjoy the photos during the next several weeks as we have many to share.

As we shut down for our annual cosmetic and mechanical maintenance, Randy, Brian, and I will be available to take calls and answer any questions anglers have about our full schedule of upcoming voyages. We have plenty of availability this year on a wide variety of voyages so if you are considering a voyage with Royal Star please give us a call. Of course Tracy will always be available in the Royal Star office, but the next five weeks will be a perfect opportunity to call any one of us with inquiries about voyages, or simply to "talk shop" about fishing. We will also all be available at the annual Fred Hall Fishing and Outdoors show in Long Beach the following week.

Until then we will share any significant thoughts or information as it comes down the pike. Otherwise the Royal Star daily fishing reports will re commence in mid April 2008. Don't forget to view the photos and again thank you to the spectacular anglers listed below who joined us on this most recent voyage.

First off, I must extend my apologies to everyone, but especially our big fish champions Doug Taylor and Dave Hall, who did not receive proper credit for their incredible catch and releases of three hundred pound yellowfin tuna. Each day I typed and sent reports but apparently, due to poor satellite transmissions, they all were not posted; specifically the 17th, 18th, and 19th. Although we checked to see if the reports were going up on the 20th, it seems our...... Read More

Following a typical ride into Cabo San Lucas, complete with the expected bump and roll, we bid our group of progressive anglers farewell as we continue the journey north in preparation for our San Diego arrival on February 27th. With a full day to decompress and reflect on the success of this voyage, and the progress we have made in the successful tagging of Wahoo and yellowfin tuna on board Royal Star, many thanks are in order for the opportunity......
