Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

Following the previous couple of days I suspect by now that most of you realize I am not joking when I refer to the legend of "Old Lucky". Honestly, his uncanny fishing ability combined with consistent miraculous timing sets him apart from all others and certainly warrants the moniker. Now to the fishing. It was another stellar day on the grounds with five yellowfin coming in over the two hundred mark and a paltry fourteen others that were "only" one twenty to one ninety five. They also threw in a stop for fifteen yellowfin in the forty to sixty pound class that made the mistake of dropping by while they were targeting a school of cows.

The weather continues to shape up grandly, the sign of fish is as good as can be for sport fishing, and they have another three full days on the grounds if they so choose.

As Captain Toussaint related to me last night, this is no fluke or flash in the pan. The fish that we have been pursuing down below since early October have finally moved in on more than a temporary basis setting up camp exactly as we hoped for. Short of some catastrophic change in conditions, the potential for good action on trophy yellowfin is, and will likely be, the real deal for the duration of the season. This could be two weeks or it could beinvicta replica china fake corum bubble replica porsche design watches two months; however long favorable conditions prevail. In the meantime we will cherish the opportunities we find and hope that as many anglers as possible are there to enjoy them with us. Give us a call if you can make a trip as we have a few spaces available just after Christmas. We will report again tomorrow.

We saw a lot of 200lb plus fish today but this bigger grade was reluctant to bite, hopefully this changes as the trip progresses. The gear of choice was straight 135lb with a 9/0 2004 Eagle Claw and a sardine. When we got on a stop they were very eager with fish boiling within feet of the...... Read More
