Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

Much better results today with a good shot at big fat "skinnies" that definitely qualify as crowd pleasers. Good weather graced the effort making for a very enjoyable day of catching that will not go down in any history books, but was a great example of fall ten day long range fishing. Variety and quality is the name of the game and we are on the right track so far. Tomorrow the offshore search will continue as the weather forecast is again ideal for looking. If one prefers to view the cup as half empty, we can definitely lament about the yellowfin tuna continuing their maddening case of lockjaw, but why bother when the wahoo are biting. I'm certain we will be dedicating plenty of effort towards coaxing some quality yellowfin over the rail, but not before we attempt to get these wahoo out of our system. Of course we are well aware that such is easier said than done, so we have our work cut out for us if we hope to keep the ball rolling in the right direction.

As such we are taking it easy with plans to fish the ridge tomorrow allowing the weather below to settle down before we take our shot at the offshore yellowfin tuna. Otherwise everything in our control is favorable so we will see how our...... Read More
