A nice day traveling down contemplating our many options as to where to begin our 11-day trip. Needless to say the fishing at Hurricane sounds appealing but the eight days of traveling doesn't. We are opting to start the trip tomorrow in the offshore wahoo grounds prospecting as we work down towards the lower banks where we're hoping that big fish is ready to go on the bite.

We finished the trip strong with steady morning action on school size yellowtail that turned out to be a good warm up for what the afternoon had in store. Very good fishing on twenty five to thirty five pound yellowtail highlighted the afternoon with a forty and fifty pound white sea bass thrown in for good measure. Another fine day of offshore angling mainly featuring "aquarium style" fishing for twenty to thirty pound class dorado with a sprinkling of wahoo in the mix. As important to the day's success as the fishing itself was the beautiful, flat calm weather that inevitably makes for an enjoyable day of offshore prospecting, catching or not.
