Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

Another fine day of southerly travel highlighted by epic weather and comfortable conditions perfect for tackle preparation and plenty of relaxation. The chance to relax and unwind is one of the unspoken benefits of the long ride down where one is free from e-mail, telephones, and the daily grind that wears all of us down living our regular routines. Of course relaxing can be a challenge, especially with reports of good fishing on our bow, but time alone and the inevitability of the four days necessary to reach our destination can be very convincing. That is my advice to all of you on future long trips, plan to relax ahead of time and make the most of the opportunity. Bring a good book, your Ipod, and/or even a few favorite movies and prepare to do nothing but enjoy the lack of responsibility for such a short while.

On that note I must report that this wonderful group of obviously seasoned veterans has been doing an exemplary job of the above mentioned enjoying not only some good books but a few bottles of beer and fine wine as well. All is well here as we plan on a mid afternoon arrival at our destination tomorrow.

As it turned out, we never stopped the boat following a complete tour that...... Read More

I have to report that the weather man was right on the mark and it is fortunate that we prepared accordingly. It is also fortunate that these vessels are very...... Read More
