We're off and running on our annual Michael Doi four day voyage with a exceptional group of anglers and pretty good reports of offshore action on our bow. The traditional pattern of good offshore albacore fishing preceding and meeting the full moon held true this month and we are heading out at present with high hopes that conditions will remain favorable for a few more days. I have to report that although Captain Toussaint's magic failed to inspire the bluefin on this last round, I have not witnessed a more enviable catch this season that featured quality, quantity, and variety. It appears that things just may be on the upswing and the list of options is finally beginning to expand. We don't want to go out on limb yet, but I can definitely say that our spirits were buoyed considerably by the improved reports coming in from all directions. Conditions are ripe in many places now the tuna just need to awake from their slumber.

On a completely different note, I want to comment on the most prevalent topic of discussion this season that is obviously foremost in many of your thoughts. The issue of the Revilla Gigedo islands closure and the present status of our negotiations continues to vex our efforts but we remain committed to the cause and hopeful of a positive outcome. Now I know that I have expressed considerable doubt in many conversations but at the same time I want everyone to know that my opinions, though based on experience, are simply that and may be just as right as they are wrong. Honestly I hope that the latter is true as Randy and I as well as many others invested our entire lives developing the incredible giant yellowfin tuna fishery the Revilla's boast. All of you can rest assured that if and when we are ever offered access to that incredible fishery again, we will feature a schedule of Revilla Gigedo island voyages. In the meantime we will continue to focus on both Clipperton island and Panama as fantastic giant yellowfin tuna fishing destinations to both expand your horizons and keep your big tuna skills honed for the glorious day that the Revilla's reopen.
