Royal Star Fish Report

Royal Star

A nice show on the big bluefin today but we managed to land only five from 110-140, with one at 193. We didn't rack up the numbers but the quality more than made up for it, everyone onboard at least had a shot at a bluefin over 100lbs.

We called it a trip at dark and are presently running up the line in nice weather, our eta at the dock is 0730 Sunday morning.

Tim will be back out on a five day and will resume reports on the 21st.

We enjoyed a nice day of trophy bluefin angling in beautiful weather. They were very finicky but we managed to land twelve from 110-150 and one at 190lbs, pretty incredible fishing in the middle of June. We are going to spend the night and hope for a repeat performance tomorrow. Ted Bloomer is in today's shot with the big one of the day,a beautiful 190lber taken on the kite. ...... Read More

We had a good night bite on 18-40lb yellows for a few anglers that chose to get up. After daylight fishing was very slow aside from a surprise wahoo bite that resulted in 16 fish in the 40-50lb range. I would think that we'll see good wahoo fishing here on the upcoming trips as the water warms up. We bid Alijos a fond farewell this afternoon and are presently running for an area where we plan on looking for bft tomorrow. Ralph...... Read More
