Fish Report for 5-2-2013
Paul Strasser called in from the Independence with this report on their action today. "We are on our 16 day trip to Hurricane Banks. Today was a much nicer day of fishing. We had a lot more bites today on the flylined baits along with the kites. We did have some losses on the bait fishing. We ended up with 28 Tuna, with 3 over 200 lbs. Most of the fish were in the 120 to 160 grade. We also caught 4 Wahoo.
"The weather is perfect and the fishing seems to be building. We are catching a lot of tuna and we seem to be seeing a more fish each day. Everything seems to be working.
"I'd like to remind everybody to check us out on our Facebook page where you'll find some up to date photos of what we are doing each day. If you'd like to go fishing on the Independence we have quite a few openings on future trips. If you have any questions or want to make a reservation a call 619-226-6006.

The next cast he hooked a 120lb tuna, then went to bed a tired man. Today our day started out with a bang. At 5:40am we hooked a fish 2 minutes later the fish was next to the boat, very confused, 2 minutes of craziness...... Read More
