Red Rooster III returns with limit catches

Fishing on The Ridge and offshore, Andy Cates skippered his Red Rooster III anglers to limit catches of combined species, returning to H&M Landing July 15. The trip was the Jorge Nicifore/Coach's Beefer annual eight-day, and the species included bluefin and yellowfin tuna, dorado and yellowtail.

1st place jackpot: 80.2-pound bluefin tuna by Tim Murman of Costa Mesa.
2nd place jackpot: 76.8-pound bluefin tuna by "Coach" Cliff Clark of Union City.
3rd place jackpot: 75.8-pound bluefin tuna by Dan Bucaroff of Escondido.
Trolling jackpot: 50.1-pound dorado caught by Sam Sanchez of Lakeside.
