Fish Report for 8-28-2011

Vagabond got near-limits of tuna on her three-day trip with skipper Mike Lackey that returned to Pt. Loma Sportfishing August 28.
"We had one-stop, all-day fishing," said Gordon Lackey.
Norm Kramer of Huntington Beach won first place for a 36.2-pound albacore that took a sardine on a 3/0 Gamakatsu hook and 30-pound Ande line. He said he fished with 50-pound spectra on an Avet MX reel and a self-wrapped Seeker 6470 Black Steel rod.
Jason Bates of Santa Clarita won second place for a 36-pound longfin, and Rick Braswell of Irvine won third place for a 35.8-pound bluefin tuna.
