"We traveled from the Island and about an hour after daylight, ran across a 2 fish meter mark and had a jig strike - when going back up to the bridge, a school of bluefin appeared from nowhere. By the time we had shut down the engines, there was a frenzy in the corner and they were biting fast....we got the first 50 fish fast and then it slowed down to a plunker.

"While we were plunking, Lloyd Cotton set the hook and could immediately tell he he was tied into something different. The battle ensued all the while we were plunking away. An hour and a half later, we saw what was approx. a 100-pound bluefin, but due to the rough weather, the flourocarbon exploded right at color. Lloyd, being the gentleman that he is, was just appreciative for the fight of a lifetime. After that, we drove around and scratched a few more fish for the rest of the day."
