Nice day of fishing along the beach for us today. Lots of bites on beautiful grade yellowtail and a few grouper. Key to getting out bites which has been consistent for the entire year is fishing along the bottom. Yo-yo jigs and speed jigs produced cleaner fishing meaning less junk but dropper loops with sardines or slabs also produced plenty of bites.

Overall a very fun day in beautiful weather. Tonight we’re gonna hide behind a nice rock and hide from some nasty weather. High winds and heavy rain, not exactly ideal for traveling or drifting. We will be sticking with the coastal fishing for the remainder of the trip due to our anglers tagging their fill on big yellowfin tuna Hopefully we sneak in a random wahoo or two on our travels up.
