Out and underway following a quick turn sliding south on our annual "Barking Spiders" eight day run. Moving along in following seas festive spirits were the predominant theme among friends old and new. A bit of early preparation and a lot of recreation capped off departure day in motion toward good things to come. Look for regular updates and images as the voyage unfolds. 
Today's image features Captain Roy Rose and I on the bridge shortly after departure. There's a lot of history in this shot. Foremost is the new venture "Baja Star Sportfishing" featured on the shirt I am sporting. History in the making. If you are not yet aware Diego and Adriel are now officially Captains and boat owners. They will be operating the Baja Star from Southern Baja ports on exclusive multi day voyages hosting groups of 12 or fewer anglers. There is a ton of info on their website and social media detailing their plans and upcoming voyages. Needless to say we support their venture one thousand percent knowing that their combined talents and decades of experience are the foundation for a hugely successful, completely unique brand of Baja Star sport fishing.
