Fishing

6-5-2026
Tim Ekstrom

In stark contrast to yesterday's kelp desert today's efforts produced the opposite. Lots of kelps and some well needed rail time provided all the opportunity to wet a line with a chance for results. While far from a barn burner success is always relative. In this case the production bar set yesterday was nil. As such every quality fish landed was pure gold. And the weather, always a foundational component, was sublime. Calling it a wrap in preparation for tomorrow's turn a final shot right at dark once again proved our resolve. Many thanks to this fantastic group of individuals who rolled with the punches and smiled through adversity on this run. Our most sincere gratitude to all. Final voyage images feature Royal Star anglers Matthew Smith and Todd Difley with a couple of fine examples of quality yellowtail in the mix today.
