Fish Report for 5-24-2026

Off we go, we departed today on our extremely limited load 4 day with Stas and his 9 friends. Needless to say, rail space is not gonna be an issue on this run. For this trip it’s all about big fish; meaning fish in excess of 100-200 pounds. For that we pointed the ship west in search of our big fish quota.
We approached our first area of fish at 1800. With only a few small bodies of fish up something felt off. Come night fall we were about to snag up a couple of dandies off small batches of fish. What was nice was every fish we hooked was a good one; nothing smaller than 170 pounds. But after 2300 the fish closed their mouths. We made about a 20 mile move to an area where we had seen lots of schools last year. Luckily there were a couple of nice schools around and a few opportunities to be had. Overall we almost filled our daily quota catching 17 fish for our 10 guys with half of those ranging from 100-225 pounds the other half 20-30 pounds. We’re gonna give this new zone a shot tomorrow and see what we come up with.
Please enjoy today’s photos of some of the dandies from last nights festivities.
