Very fun fish for us today along the coast. Around 1 in the morning we put the anchor down in hopes to catch a few white sea bass. Instead we were greeted with wide open giant calico bass fishing. Absolutely insane action with consistent 5-7 pounders coming over the rail.

After our fun late night/early morning bass session we took off in search of some more variety. Remember everyone today we weren’t in kill mode or in search of more yellowtail. Our group wanted bass and coastal fishing. So coastal is what they got. In total we managed 30 smaller yellowtail and a bunch of beautiful calicos. On top of that we also picked off a singular white sea bass.

Tomorrow we’ll be heading back up the line. We’re gonna try to squeeze in a little cod fishing in before having to bomb it back home but only time will tell. We’ll check back in tomorrow!
