We worked up in "coastal variety" mode today encountering exactly what we were looking for. Morning shots at bigger yellows, a mid day "bassathon", and an afternoon closer complimented by the Padre win piped on deck via PA, made for near long range perfection. Concluding our time in the southern climes days end saw us heading north seeking trophy bluefin on our final day. Glorious weather, that motivates the move north in no small part, will be put to good use tomorrow as we work our way up the line. Today's image features first time Royal Star angler Leslie Itano jubilant with her beautiful afternoon yellowtail. I have to mention that Leslie's contagious enthusiasm for every battle, every fish landed, has brought a lot of joy to me personally this voyage. The image today perfectly captures why.
