Quick turn

Right back at it following an efficient turn around in fishing mode by lunch time. Needless to say the whirlwind of rigging and preparation can be a bit challenging with only one and a half hours of “travel” time but versus a long run we’ll take this all day long. Right back in the saddle the yellows this afternoon fell a little short as the dreaded “south wind shutdown” indeed followed the age old norm. Unfazed by the almost expected change we plunked just shy of one around then headed south for bluefin glory offshore.

I don’t know if any readers took notice but once again the full moon bluefin phenomena did not disappoint. While huge numbers were not landed all those fish that somewhat disappeared the previous week returned to the surface in a volume so vast it is hard to wrap one’s head around. Let us all hope that the devils eventually will drop their guard and give us a grand shot. We are ready.

Photo today is another shot from the bridge of a big spot of bluefin demolishing a poor school of anchovies right next to us.

If you would like to go fishing with us please BOOK ONLINE or call (619) 224-4764 to get in on the action.
