The boat backed in after a productive 1.5 day trip. The guys had almost 100 yellowtail - respectable size, 10-15 bft, a couple of dorado and nice weather. A huge thanks to chartermaster and organizer, Mike Flores - we appreciate you bringing your guys and beautiful gals fishing on the American Angler!
Jackpot honors went to:
1st place Ryan Carry 30 somethinglb bft
2nd place Kinny Parrott 30 something less lb yt

7-22-2012We've been making the long haul on our short trips lately and today everything fell into place. This morning we got in the right bubble of water and found a Kelp that we spent a couple hours catching mostly good grade Yellows mixed with some BFTs and a couple of Dorado to boot. The boat rolled in a little later than usual this morning with a fresh catch of 60 or so tuna - mostly bft with a few yft's in the mix and a couple of handfuls of yellowtail. As always, thanks to Ken and Wes for always putting on a great trip - (way to go Dakota) - and we'll be seeing Ken and Wes again in August for the Ken's Custom Reels Open 1.5 day trip....which still has a few......
