"Keeping ourselves in the ball game and starting around yesterday's big fish area," reported American Angler July 2, "we went to work right away. Utilizing the grease calm weather we've been blessed with, the boys in binoculars were able to put us on a nice line of kelps. Beautiful 18 to 25-pound yellowtail supplied us with most of our action, along with a couple handfuls of bluefin and yellowfin.
The best story today has to be the importance of staying positive and keeping the right attitude, as did Dave Gonzalez after a two-hour battle then heartbreak loss yesterday, only to find himself in another epic battle and landing our biggest fish of the day, a 127-pound Bluefin and this time it was a story of success.
Toki Ouchi and our awesome sponsor Glenn Kuromi, share a smile and display one of the beautiful grade yellows available."
