American Angler decks 22 Tuna & 3 nice Wahoo

Bill Roecker

"Capt. Kiyohara called tonight to update us on their adventures," said the report from American Angler's office for May 5. "They are having gorgeous weather. Their day started with a couple of handfuls of tuna up to 150 pounds, which was followed by steady Wahoo action for a couple of hours (during which time there was a constant tug-of-war playing out with the sharks) and then back to tuna fishing with 80 to 160-pounders being caught.
They finished the day with 22 tuna: highliners Kerry Way with a 202-pounder, Jay Maeda (who made a big comeback after a heartbreak loss of a monster) by catching a 160-pounder and a 100-pounder and Don, who shook off his skunk with 3 nice wahoo and a beautiful tuna)."
