Hi Gang,

We made a move to look at a different area yesterday and we were not disappointed. We awoke in the morning to a flat calm ocean and no wind. After spending all morning looking in the binoculars, we did not see much in the way of bluefin tuna. At around noon we were in an area that looked better, started seeing fish, and at around 1345 we located a very nice school of 60# to 75# bluefin tuna. As the school started to settle in on us it was very good fishing with guys getting bit right behind the boat. We drifted with this school for the rest of the day and kept btween 2 and 7 fish hooked the entire time. The most productive technique was a flylined sardine on 40# with 40# fluorocarbon, and a #2/0 ringed circle hook. The guys had an absolute blast. It is very encouraging to see fish in this area and it looks as though we are in for some very good fishing in the weeks to come. We couldn't be happier with how our day ended up and our galley staff team of chef Brian and  Chasen knocked it out of the park once again with an incredible dinner of perfectly cooked fillet minon, mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, and carrot cake for dessert. Thank you to everyone that fished with us and a huge thanks to Tony Garza and Soft Steel/Okuma for hosting this trip and for all of the awesome giveaways prizes. Everyone wants to do this trip again next year so look for it on our schedule. Life is Good. Happy Mother's Day. Thanks for checking in, Captain Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team
