More Wahoo

Bill Cavanaugh

Hi Gang,

What an exceptional day we experienced yesterday. The day started right at first light with wide open yellowfin tuna. The overall average grade of this fish was good with most of our fish around 20 to 25 pounds. The cool thing about this bite was that almost everyone was fishing the skip jig. The guys were making a decent cast, starting to fast wind just as the jig hits the water, skipping the jig on the surface, and there would literally be 3 to 4 tuna blowing out on the jig. This was the scene on everycast. Super fun fishing. After we had our daily quota of tuna, we looked around for wahoo and put together a few good stops on wahoo. Yes! We even had some guys catch their first ever wahoo today. Good stuff. The weather was beautiful all day and our chefs knocked it out of the park with a delicious rack of lamb dinner. Life is good. Thanks for checking in, Captain Bill Cavanaugh and the Intrepid Team
